MaxPac A-Class 8032A
The MaxPac® 8032A is a member of the MaxPac® A-Class and features a Core i7 processor, up to 32GB of DDR3 memory and 4 option slots designed to be accessible from the top of the chassis without the use of tools. Designed to operate in 0 to 50°C and conservatively even in high dust environments. This product provides an exceptional fresh air path, insuring the user provided add-in cards to operate in the best possible environment at the lowest possible temperatures. With a 600 watt global power supply, the MaxPac® 8032A can handle any power load the user requires. Up to ten 2.5” removable hard disk can be configured (2 mirror pair system disk and 8 for a data raid array).
The standard configuration provides the following slots: PCIe x 16, PCIe x 1, and legacy PCI. Another option is for four PCIe x 4 slot using x16 connectors and a fifth PCIe x4 slot embedded, supporting an 8 channel RAID controller. This has been found to be a quite useful in wide bandwidth data acquisition and recording applications where 8 SSD are used in a removable disk array, supporting up to 6.4TB (8x800GB SSD drives) with demonstrated streaming bandwidths of 1GB/sec.
Given that this configuration is typically used for I/O card payloads, the 17” 1280 x 1024 display, is typically driven from onboard graphics. However, optional high performance cards can be configured. As with most MaxPac® designs, this is also a box-in-box construction and provides a new level of protection against drops and tip overs, even outside the transit case. MaxVision®’s custom K&N intake air filter provides protection against the finest dust particles without undesirable backpressure.
